A significant addition to Auckland's architectural and cultural landscape, the New Zealand International Convention Centre (NZICC) brings together contemporary architecture, innovative design and adaptable spaces designed to accommodate a diverse range of events and experiences.
Designed by Warren and Mahoney in association with Moller Architects and Woods Bagot, the landmark development represents an important investment in the city's cultural and events infrastructure.
At the heart of the centre is Te Paepae Theatre, a versatile performance and event space featuring approximately 2,943 Livio seats by Jezet, represented in Australasia by KFive.
Combining fixed seating with a large retractable section, the theatre has been designed to accommodate a variety of configurations, allowing the space to transition between different uses while maintaining comfort, functionality and a cohesive architectural aesthetic.
The Livio seating system responds to the demands of a contemporary multipurpose venue, where adaptability is as important as the experience of the audience. Its integration into Te Paepae Theatre demonstrates how considered seating solutions can contribute to the flexibility and longevity of large-scale public spaces.
KFive is proud to have worked alongside Jezet on this landmark project, contributing to a space that will bring people together through culture, creativity and shared experiences for years to come.
