Where Art Meets Design: FOREST Arrives at K5 Sydney
K5 is proud to present FOREST, a window installation by Melbourne interior designer Danielle Brustman, created in collaboration with artist Josee Vesely-Manning. Showing from 24 November 2025 through to the end of February 2026, FOREST brings together key pieces from the K5 collection with Vesely-Manning’s large colour-field paintings in a warm, vibrant display.
The installation is inspired by the feeling of being in a forest: deep colours, natural textures and a sense of calm. Danielle’s use of warm timbers, gentle curves and thoughtful colour sits alongside Josee’s layered, expressive artworks, creating a space that feels both inviting and reflective.
Danielle Brustman is known for her bold use of colour and her ability to bring an artistic touch to interior design. Since starting her studio in 2012, she has worked across homes, commercial spaces, furniture, public installations and collaborations with major cultural institutions.
Artist Josee Vesely-Manning adds emotional depth to FOREST with her large-scale paintings. Her works shift with the light and offer moments of softness, intensity and movement, creating a beautiful contrast to the crafted furniture pieces in the installation.
“The title FOREST reflects folklore, fairytales and the rich hues of the natural world, paired with the craftsmanship and sustainability at the heart of the K5 pieces.” – Josee Vesely-Manning
Together, Danielle and Josee have created something that feels calm, colourful and a little unexpected, a small moment of escape in the city.
We invite you to visit the K5 showroom in Surry Hills and experience FOREST in person. The installation is open to the public throughout the season and we look forward to sharing it with you.
