GELATO

Designed by Italian glass designer Carlo Nason, Gelato brings a playful piece of 1970s design into the present. Named for its resemblance to the quintessential Italian treat, its colourful glass cup cradles a softly illuminated frosted glass orb.

Originally conceived as a wired table lamp, Gelato has been revived by Established & Sons as a portable, rechargeable light. The frosted orb houses a custom replaceable LED light source with an integrated battery, while a touch-sensitive three-step dimmer allows the light level to shift easily throughout the day.

Compact at 225mm long and 135mm in diameter, Gelato offers 8–10 hours of battery life and recharges via a magnetic USB-C connection. Free from cables in use, it can move easily between bedside tables, shelving, dining settings and hospitality spaces, bringing both soft light and a distinctly Italian sense of character.
