Stockholm Fair | |
The Stockholm Furniture Fair is the largest fair event in
the Nordic countries. This doesn't really come as a surprise, as
from the minute you step out of the plane, design surrounds you.
The city itself is a showpiece for good, solid product design, so
it makes sense that it should have a trade show that reflects
this.
This year the Stockholm furniture fair celebrated its
60th year, making it Sweden's oldest fair. But, luckily,
with age it seems to have only grown in confidence rather than
diminished in its ways.
Although there remained a distinct lack of international
exhibitors, as most were keeping their new products under wraps for
Milan, this did not seem to stop Nordic companies. Large 2011
collections by companies such as Materia, Skandiform, Nordic Care,
Abstracta and Nola had plenty of new and exciting products to
keep us entertained. And while the same big-name designers did tend
to pop up again and again, it was also nice to see some of the
younger designers sharing the spotlight.
| | | Materia | |
For Materia, it is about so much more than beautiful furniture.
It is not enough either that the furniture is also comfortable.
Materia bases their ideas on research and creates meeting places
that offer energy and creativity. This is the secret.
We are eager to reveal Materia's 2011 product range as they
have continued to show creativity, innovation and
practicality in all their designs.
| | | Skandiform | |
Skandiform has unveiled a number of original and modern designs
at this year's Stockholm furniture fair. Each design is as
ground-breaking as ever and we are excited to show you these
innovative designs.
| | | Nordic Care | |
NC Nordic Care supports the Scandinavian consideration for
people and the environment, with a careful approach to lifestyles,
values and traditions. They constantly seek new ways and always
look beyond preconceived rules of expression, function and design
to drive them in the development process.
They have this year put on a remarkable display at the Stockholm
Furniture fair, showing elegance, comfort and sophistication in all
their designs.
| | | Abstracta | |
Abstracta is a leading player of
interior design products within business, education and public
services. Building on strengths in product
development and marketing, Abstracta develops and markets products
for visual communication and creative interior
design.
They have showcased a number of exhilarating
products at this years Stockholm Furniture Fair and we are eager to
reveal to you their innovative and modern ideas.
| | | Nola |
Nola brings quality designs to open-air urban areas and
high-traffic indoor environments. Whether considered robust enough
for the outdoors or stylish enough for the interior, each product
from Nola is as practical and durable as it is
striking and chic.
Each product reflects their work and the way they do it, but
also reveals their ethics and values, and their commitment to
innovation and design. And this is excatly what was shown at the
Stockholm fair. We were astounded by their creativity and unique
designs.
| | | Inno | |
Inno's aim is to develop innovative products that reflect both
high quality and design, to meet the most demanding requirements of
public interiors.
Their presentation at this years Stockholm Furniture Fair
displayed inventive and original products that symbolise quality,
sophistication and design.
