NyChairX

Nychair X was created by designer Takeshi Nii in 1970. He has been working on folding chairs since the 1950s, and through trial and error, he eventually designed the X-shaped legs.
To these legs, Nii added wooden armrests and a seat made out of thick cotton weave. All came together in a comfortable chair, which marked the start of Nychair X product series. It could be said that it was the culmination of Takeshi Nii's life work of creating folding chairs.
NyChairX - Ottoman

When Ottoman is used together with Nychair X or Nychair X Rocking as a set, it allows you to entrust your whole body in its soft embrace, from head to toe, and enjoy even deeper stages of relaxation.
Many ottomans have a slanted seat to accommodate the shape of the legs and feet better, but Nychair X Ottoman has a flat horizontal seat to serve other purposes as well. With a load capacity of 95 kg, it can of course be used as a stool, but it can also play a variety of flexible roles: with a tray on top, it can be used as a side table; it can be placed at the entrance as a support tool for taking shoes off; it can turn into a temporary storage rack, and so on

Malin derived her inspiration for Lollipop (2014, 2019) from the classic coffee-cup saucer – here the table itself becomes the “saucer” for your cup. Lollipop is the ideal solution for coffee breaks and all those other occasions when it’s handy to have a small table that’s easy to move to where it’s needed. The outsize ring is a useful handle but also adds to the light-hearted expression of the table.

Touch bowls and food platters are the result of our continued dialogue with Ilse Crawford, Oscar Peña and their associates at Studioilse about tactility as an essential human need and how it‘s continued loss through rapid digitalization of our world can be compensated through design of physical objects for interiors. The aim here was to create simple objects that can add warmth and tactility to the experience of cooking and eating at home. The platters and bowls in walnut are finished only with bee’s wax, which is a natural food proof wood finish that can be refreshed from time to time at home. Bowls are also available in black stain with eco-proof mat lacquer coating on top.

Eclipse is an artistic puzzle consisted of three different shaped mirrors that can be enjoyed as stand-alone pieces or all together. The beauty of these mirrors does not depend on what they reflect. Eclipse is fixed to a rounded plate, which sits on top and “eclipses” a larger bottom plate. The surface of the bottom plates is hand carved by Zanat master carvers based on adorable abstract drawings signed by Monica Förster. The mirrors come in three different sizes and shapes, allowing one to create various artistic installations with different combinations of mirrors on the wall.

The Alvar tray is the oldest product in Nikari collection, dating back to the first years of the small one-man-workshop-company in the 1960’s. Nikari was collaborating with Alvar Aalto’s architecture office and furnishing their projects from 1967 to 1974. The original Alvar trays are still in use in the Lakeuden Risti convention center they were made for.
Ecobirdy - Mabo Plates

The ecoBirdy Mabo plate is a multi-purpose deep plate that looks as if it is made from marble, but it is made with recycled plastic. Colour schemes and patterns follow a gradient progression, which results in smooth and organic-looking items. Each individual plate is unique as every pattern is different.
The plates are made from repurposed plastic kitchen waste. With a process that takes up to 10 times longer than methods that are usually applied, a refreshing sense of craftsmanship is felt as these plates are created.
